Snap!!!

I'm morning the loss of an old friend. Suddenly taken from me on the morning commute.
Its just a chunk of Aluminum but it has done the business of driving my bike foreward over the last 7 or so years. Colorado, India, South America, Alaska, races, tours and countless rides. The other side snaped in the same place 3 years ago, then the inner chainring threads stripped out 2 years ago and has been held in by ecuadorian super glue since. The taper also survived a gouging bottom bracket spindle snap but the crank as always taken this in stride - until now.

I think I'm going to have it framed in all its broken bueaty.

The knee has been a bit more sore than usual lately, probably since I tweaked it bowling.. So it made for a very productive weekend sewing like an over-caffinated Malaysian 12 year old. Poggies, Bags for pugs, bags for fatbacks, Handlebar bags and the new dual zip panel opening gas tank. Almost caught up... Super twinkies are on deck...
Good stuff!
